EXCLUSIVE PROPERTY FOR SALE ON LAKE COMO
Buying in Italy after Brexit
Great
news
for
our
UK
clients,
if
you
wish
to
buy
a
holiday
home
in
Italy
you
will
still
be
able
to
do
so
after
Brexit.
This
will
be
on
a
‘non-resident’
basis,
if
you
are
not
spending
more
than
6
months
a
year
in
Italy
(otherwise
you
would
be
resident
in
Italy
and
can
apply for residency).
For
other
nationalities,
the
reciprocate
rule
applies
in
that,
very
broadly,
if
Italians
can
buy
in
a
country
then
that
nationality
can
buy
in
Italy.
And what about visiting and staying in Italy?
You
can
visit
on
holiday
as
long
as
you
please
in-line
with
the
Schengen
rules
ie
no
more
than
3
months
in
any
6
months,
and
there
are
no
restrictions
on
renting
the
property.
Should
you
wish
to
stay
more
than
3
months
in
a
6-month
spell,
then
a
visa
will
be
required. This is a change as this was not necessary before Brexit.
And looking for a property during lockdown?
Not
a
problem.
We
are
here
to
help
and
just
introduced
our
PROPERTY
FINDER
service.
We
know
so
many
people
cannot
be
physically here in Italy so we can help and after a full briefing, will look for the property of your dreams.
And assistance for renovating properties for anyone not in Italy?
We
offer
a
full
project
management
service
if
you
are
having
any
works
done.
We
can
visit
the
site
and
provide
independent
detailed
reports of how the work is progressing. Plus, any technical reports can be organised to suit your requirements.
